Archetype: The Gunslinger

The Gunslinger is a versatile fighter, an expert that uses firearms and melee weapons. Can use trick shots to increase his damage or survavility. A Gunslinger can select which Trick Shots to learn, but they can't learn all of them.

You can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or you can increase two ability scores of your choice by 1. As normal, you can’t increase an ability score above 20 using this feature.

Fighting Style

You adopt a particular style of fighting as your specialty. Choose one of the options. You can’t take a Fighting Style option more than once, even if you later get to choose again.

Second Wind Icon

You have a limited well of stamina that you can draw on to protect yourself from harm. On your turn, you can use a bonus action to regain hit points equal to 1d10 + your fighter level. Once you use this feature, you must finish a short or long rest before you can use it again.

Fan the Hammer Icon

Grit Cost: 2. Requires firearm.

Recharges your weapon and remove the cool down for the next 6 shots or 15s, all your attacks have disadvantage. Damage is increased when your attack stat increases to 3+.

Action Surge Icon

Starting at 2nd level, you can push yourself beyond your normal limits for a moment. On your turn, you can take one additional action.

Once you use this feature, you must finish a short or long rest before you can use it again. Starting at 17th level, you can use it twice before a rest, but only once on the same turn.

When using a firearm to activate the surge, the cooldown rate of your weapons are reduced to one half instead.

You can learn a new Trick Shot.

Extra Attack Icon

Beginning at 5th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.

The number of attacks increases to three when you reach 11th level in this class and to four when you reach 20th level in this class.

Gunslinger's Litany Icon

For 15s you gain 10 + 2 per level temporary hit points, +1d8 piercing damage, and advantage to saving throw DEX, you can use it twice before a long rest.

Improved Grit Icon

Increases your Grit by 1 per rank.

Indomitable Grit Icon

Level: 9, 13, 17Passive

Beginning at 9th level, you can reroll a saving throw that you fail. If you do so, you must use the new roll, and you can’t use this feature again until you finish a long rest.

You can use this feature twice between long rests starting at 13th level and three times between short rests starting at 17th level.

This feature is used automatically when it's available.

Recharges your weapon, your next 6 shots in 15s deal double damage and are critical hits, recharges on a long rest, 1 charge.

Unyielding Icon

If you enter combat without Grit points you recover 2 Grit points.

Hard to Kill Icon

Level: 18Passive

If you drop to 0 hit points but have at least 1 point of Grit, it is spent and you drop to 1 hit point instead. You can use this feature once per long rest.

When you are wielding a melee weapon in one hand and no other weapons, you gain a +2 bonus to damage rolls with that weapon.
